WAY no2: (Beautiful landscapes, more driving). Through Halkida
(capital city of Evia island) where everybody can see an unexplained phenomenon.
The waters of Evripos Channel change direction every six hours and the reasons for that
have not been explored yet. The trip continues through an extremely beautiful combination forest - seaside and it lasts almost 3 hours.
At the left side you can see the new modern bridge that connects Central Greece with Evia island. Evia remains island (second largerst in Greece after Crete) even if many people want to consider Evia like a part of Central Greece. You can travel from Athens to Halkida in less than an hour. In Halkida you can eat fresh fishes and enjoy a nice cup of coffee by the sea. Leaving behide you Halkida you have to pass through the villages of Artaki-Prokopi-Limni-Rovies-Ilia and finally the baths of Edipsos.

Through the National Road "Thessaloniki - Lamia" up to Glifa port (200 km). From Glifa port to Evia island : Agiokampos port (on the side of Evia island) by ferryboat (3 nautical miles - 20 min.) From Agiokampos port to Edipsos, by car is 10 minutes driving.
